What data this site handles, why, and your rights.

Who is responsible

The data controller is ONE ACE, SAS, 60 rue François Ier, 75008 Paris, France (RCS Paris 979 062 452). Contact: partners@smartinvestmalaysia.com. This policy applies the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What we collect

  • No account, no form, no newsletter. You can read the whole site without giving us anything.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your message and address to answer you, for up to three years after our last exchange.
  • Audience measurement. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and does not identify you: it records aggregate figures such as page views, countries and page load times.
  • Technical logs. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks. We do not use them to identify you.

Third-party content

  • Maps are drawn from OpenFreeMap tiles based on OpenStreetMap data. Your browser requests the tiles from their servers, which see your IP address.
  • Videos are official videos hosted on YouTube. The page only loads the preview image from YouTube's image servers. The YouTube player, which can set cookies, loads from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play. Google's privacy policy then applies.

Cookies and advertising

Today the site sets no cookies and shows no advertising. We plan to show ads served by Google AdSense. Before that happens, this page will be updated and visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for their consent through a certified consent tool. Google and its partners may then use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites; you will be able to refuse or change your choice at any time, and to manage personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or ask for it to be restricted or transferred, by writing to partners@smartinvestmalaysia.com. If you are in the EU, you can also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr). If you are in Malaysia, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (pdp.gov.my).
